Courage in Waiting

Scripture:
Isaiah 40:31

"But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."

Reflection:

Waiting on the Lord is an active process that requires courage and strength. Caleb waited 45 years, yet he remained strong and ready to act when the time came. This kind of waiting is not passive; it involves actively trusting God, seeking His presence, and preparing for the fulfillment of His promises. Consider how you can actively wait on the Lord in your current situation. Are you using this time to grow closer to Him and prepare for what He has in store?

Prayer:

Father, grant me the courage to wait on You with patience and strength. Renew my spirit as I trust in Your perfect timing. Help me to use this waiting period to grow in faith and prepare for the fulfillment of Your promises. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Action:

Identify one area in your life where you need to wait on God. Commit to praying about it daily, asking for strength and patience. Use this time to deepen your relationship with God through prayer, worship, and study of His word.
