Receiving God’s Gift

 Scripture:
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

John 3:16 (KJV)

Reflection:
God’s love is more than an idea—it is the great action of history: the giving of His Son for the life of the world. His invitation is, at its core, personal and simple: “Will you receive what I have offered?” It’s easy to imagine that true faith must be complicated, requiring proof, performance, or a history without missteps.
But God’s desire is not to burden you, but to bless you. The gift of Jesus is free—no strings, no small print, just open arms and unending love. This kind of grace is so countercultural that sometimes it is hard even to accept. All you do is believe and receive the gift. It’s for you, right where you are, regardless of yesterday or last year.
Receiving God’s love means letting go of the idea that you must earn His approval. It means placing your weight on the truth that Jesus is enough, and letting Him be your confidence before God, now and forever.

Prayer:

Lord, I open my heart to You. Thank You for loving me enough to give Your all. I receive the gift of Jesus afresh and trust that eternal life begins for me the moment I believe. Keep me grounded in Your love.

Action:

Reflect on John 3:16 and thank God in your own words for His personal, costly love. Share this good news today with someone who might need to hear of God’s generous heart.
