Scripture:
“And we all, with unveiled faces, contemplating the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”
(2 Corinthians 3:18 NIV)
Reflection:
Salvation is not the end of God’s work in us—it’s the beginning of a lifelong process of transformation. The sermon challenged the idea that once we are saved, nothing needs to change. Instead, God’s grace continues to shape and mold us into the image of Christ.
Transformation is not instantaneous; it happens “from glory to glory.” Jesus loves us as we are, but He loves us too much to leave us unchanged. He heals wounds, corrects our thinking, and frees us from patterns that hold us back. Sometimes this process is uncomfortable, as God puts His finger on areas of our lives that need change.
But this is good news: God’s grace is not just about forgiveness, but about wholeness. Jesus was the only truly whole person—mind, soul, emotions, will—who ever lived, and He invites us to share in that wholeness. Will we surrender to His transforming work, even when it’s painful?
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, I invite You to continue transforming me into the likeness of Jesus. Reveal areas of my life that need Your healing and correction. Give me courage to surrender my habits, hurts, and ways of thinking to You. Shape me for Your glory, and let Your grace bring wholeness to every part of my life.
Action:
Set aside time today for self-examination. Ask God to show you one area He wants to transform. Journal about it, and make a plan for one step of obedience or change you can take this week. Share your desire for growth with a trusted friend or mentor who can encourage you.
