Knowing Jesus—Not Just About Him

Scripture:
Philippians 3:10-11 (NIV)
“I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.”

Reflection:

It’s possible to know a lot about Jesus—His teachings, miracles, and even the right answers to theological questions—yet miss the invitation to know Him personally and intimately. Paul’s longing was not for more information, but for deeper relationship: to experience Christ’s power and presence in daily life, to walk with Him through both joy and suffering, surrendering every part of life to Him. Knowing Jesus means letting Him shape your thoughts, your choices, your desires, and even your pain. It’s a growing, living relationship that transforms you from the inside out and anchors your hope in the reality of resurrection life.

Prayer:

Jesus, I want to know You—not just facts about You, but Your heart, Your power, Your presence. Lead me deeper into relationship with You today. Transform my life from the inside out, so that others can see You in me.

Action:

Set aside a quiet time today to listen to Jesus—read this verse slowly, talk with Him honestly, and ask Him to show you what it means to know Him more deeply. Write down anything He impresses on your heart and take one step to act on it.
