Scripture:
Titus 2:13 (NIV)
“…while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.”
Reflection:
Life in a broken world can wear down my hope. Injustice, suffering, and disappointment threaten to dull my expectation for anything better. Yet, the gospel anchors me in a living hope: Christ will return. His reign, now real but sometimes hidden, will one day be fully seen when He appears in glory.
The return of Jesus is not wishful thinking or escapism; it is the certain fulfillment of His promise and the longing of every heart that aches for justice, healing, and restoration. This hope shapes how I live—empowering perseverance, fueling courage, and inspiring holy living. I am called to wait with anticipation, working for God’s kingdom here and now while longing for the day when Christ’s victory is visible to all.
Even in the darkest moments, I can look up, knowing that my story—and the world’s story—ends not in defeat but in the radiant glory of my returning King.
Prayer:
Come, Lord Jesus! Renew my hope as I wait for Your return. Help me to live each day with expectation and to work for Your kingdom, trusting that You will make all things new.
Action:
Encourage someone who is discouraged or suffering by reminding them of the hope of Christ’s return. Pray together for renewed hope.
