The Victorious King

Scripture:
Revelation 19:11–16 (NIV, excerpt)
“I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True… On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.”

Reflection:

The vision of Jesus in Revelation—riding forth as Faithful and True, crowned with many crowns, executing justice—reveals the fullness of His kingship. He is not a legend or relic of the past, but the living, victorious Lord whose return will make all wrongs right. This vision confronts my tendency to domesticate Jesus or reduce Him to a gentle teacher. Instead, I am called to see Him as He truly is: fierce in holiness, unstoppable in power, utterly trustworthy in judgment. In a world of injustice and brokenness, this hope is essential. I can persevere, forgive, and stand for truth because I know the story ends with Christ’s victory.

Prayer:

Jesus, You are the Faithful and True King. Help me trust in Your victory and justice. Give me boldness and hope rooted in Your coming kingdom.

Action:

Spend time in worship today—sing, write, or pray—meditating on Jesus as King of kings and Lord of lords.
