Scripture:
Colossians 1:16–17 (NKJV)
“For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.”
Reflection:
Christ’s sovereignty is cosmic—He is the source, sustainer, and goal of all that exists. Thrones, dominions, powers, and authorities—seen and unseen—owe their existence to Him and remain under His rule. Chaos and uncertainty are not ultimate; Christ’s sustaining word holds all things together, including my life. When I’m tempted to despair or feel insignificant, remembering His sovereignty grounds me in hope. My life is not random or meaningless; it is created for and held by Him. This truth calls me to worship, awe, and daily trust that Christ is working in ways I may never see, weaving my story into His greater purpose.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for being sovereign over all things—seen and unseen. Help me trust Your power and providence, especially when life feels uncertain.
Action:
Reflect on a current challenge or fear. In prayer, declare that Jesus is Lord over that situation, trusting Him to sustain you.
