Scripture:
Matthew 7:13-14 (NIV)
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”
Reflection:
Following Jesus isn’t about adding Him to your busy life—it’s about surrendering everything and letting Him lead. The world offers a wide road filled with distractions and self-centered living, but Jesus calls you to the narrow road. This road requires letting go of sin, pride, and self-rule. It’s not always comfortable or popular, but it’s the only path to true freedom, peace, and eternal life. Every day, you have a choice: will you walk the wide road of comfort and compromise, or step onto the narrow road, trusting Jesus to guide you?
Prayer:
Lord, give me the courage to walk the narrow way. Show me where I’m holding on to things I need to leave behind. Help me trust that Your way, though sometimes hard, leads to real and lasting life.
Action:
Ask God to reveal any area where you’re compromising or choosing comfort over obedience. Take a concrete step today to walk in surrender—whether that’s a conversation, a decision, or a change in habit.
