John 1:16
“Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given.”
Reflection:
God’s grace is not a one-time transaction; it is an ever-flowing, inexhaustible resource for the believer. The sermon compared grace to the relentless waves of the ocean—wave after wave, never ceasing, always present. Every moment we are sustained by God’s unmerited favor: the breath in our lungs, the strength to endure hardship, the peace that calms our storms. Grace not only saves us but empowers us for daily living, worship, service, and perseverance. Too often we look for God’s grace only in the spectacular, but His grace is always at work, even in the ordinary and mundane. Are you aware of the daily “waves” of God’s favor in your life? How might your perspective change if you recognized every blessing, every act of kindness, every breath as a gift of grace from Jesus?
Prayer:
Father, thank You for grace that never runs out. Open my eyes to see Your kindness in every detail of my life. Let my gratitude grow as I recognize that everything good comes from Your hand. Help me live each day in humble dependence on Your unending favor.
Action:
Take time to list three ways God’s grace has shown up in your life recently—big or small. Thank Him specifically for each one.
