Scripture:
Hebrews 13:12
"And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood."
Reflection:
There are only two types of people in the world: those who have been set apart by the blood of Jesus and those who haven't. The word "holy" means "set apart"—not perfect, but purchased, claimed, marked as belonging to God. You didn't make yourself holy through good behavior or religious discipline. Jesus made you holy through His blood. This is your identity now—you are holy unto God. Not because of what you've done, but because of what His blood has done. You've been transferred from one kingdom to another, from darkness to light, from common to consecrated. The blood has marked you as God's own treasured possession. You are set apart for His purposes, His glory, His kingdom work.
Prayer:
Father, thank You that through Jesus' blood, I have been made holy—set apart for You. Help me to live today with the awareness that I belong completely to You. When I'm tempted to live like everyone else, remind me that I've been purchased, marked, and set apart by the precious blood of Your Son. Let my life reflect the holiness You've placed within me. I am Yours, set apart not by my effort but by Jesus' sacrifice. Amen.
Action:
Today, before making decisions—big or small—pause and ask: "Does this choice reflect that I am set apart for God?" Let the reality of being made holy by His blood influence at least three decisions you make today. Write them down tonight and reflect on how living "set apart" changed your choices.
