Cleansed and Purified

Scripture:
1 John 1:7, 9
"But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin... If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."

 Reflection:

The blood of Jesus doesn't just cover your sin—it completely removes it, purifies you, sterilizes you from all impurity. Like a surgeon's instruments made sterile, Jesus' blood removes every contamination. But here's the enemy's strategy: he wants you meditating on accusations rather than appropriating the blood. When you sin, don't camp there in guilt. Confess it, receive cleansing, and get back up. A righteous person falls seven times but rises again. The blood cleanses both your record before God and your conscience within you. Stop carrying what Jesus has already carried away.

 Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You that Your blood purifies me from all sin—not just covers it, but completely removes it. I confess [specific sin], and I receive Your complete cleansing. Silence the enemy's accusations in my mind. Help me take captive every thought and bring it under obedience to You. Let me walk in the joy of my salvation, not the heaviness of condemnation. Amen.

 Action:

Identify one accusation the enemy repeatedly brings against you. Counter it today with this truth: "The blood of Jesus has purified me from all sin. I am clean." Each time the accusation surfaces, speak this truth aloud.
