Scripture:
Ephesians 3:18-19
"And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God."
Reflection:
The first treasure of knowing Jesus is experiencing His incomprehensible love. This isn't just knowing about His love—it's moving from gnosis (knowledge) to ginosko (relationship) to epigonosis (deep experience). Jesus loves you in ways no human ever could—perfectly, unconditionally, eternally. His love isn't based on your performance but on His character. When you grasp even a fraction of how deeply Christ loves you, fear loses its grip. Perfect love casts out fear because when you know He loves you this completely, you trust Him with everything.
Prayer:
Jesus, I confess that I often settle for knowing about Your love rather than experiencing it deeply. Open my heart today to encounter the width, length, height, and depth of Your love for me personally. Let Your perfect love drive out my fears, anxieties, and insecurities. Help me rest in the truth that You loved me long before I could ever love You back. Amen.
Action:
Today, whenever anxiety or fear surfaces, pause and speak this truth aloud: "Jesus loves me perfectly, and His perfect love casts out my fear." Write down one specific fear you're carrying and consciously surrender it to His love.
