Scripture:
Romans 8:11 -
"If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you."
Reflection:
Stop and let this truth sink in: the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives inside you. That's not poetic exaggeration—it's reality. When you were born again, you received the Holy Spirit, and with Him came resurrection power. This means death has no hold on you. Sin doesn't have to dominate you. Discouragement, fear, addiction, and defeat can all be overcome through the Spirit's power within you.
Paul wanted to know this power more deeply—not just believe it doctrinally, but experience it practically. He wanted to understand what it meant that resurrection power was at work inside him. What about you? Are you living aware of this power, or have you forgotten the treasure you carry? The Spirit isn't dormant within you—He's actively transforming you, empowering you, and preparing you for eternity.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me Your Holy Spirit. I confess I often live as though I'm powerless, forgetting that resurrection power dwells in me. Awaken me to the reality of Your Spirit's presence and power. Help me tap into this supernatural strength when I'm weak, tempted, or discouraged. Teach me to rely on Your Spirit rather than my own strength. I want to know the fullness of what You've placed inside me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Identify one area of your life where you feel powerless or defeated right now. It might be a recurring sin, a difficult relationship, a health challenge, or a season of discouragement. Instead of trying harder in your own strength, pause three times today to specifically ask the Holy Spirit to empower you in that area. Write down any thoughts, Scripture, or impressions that come to mind as you pray.
