There's a profound difference between knowing about Jesus and truly knowing Jesus. Paul had everything—credentials, education, religious pedigree—yet he counted it all as loss compared to the surpassing worth of knowing Christ personally. This week, we're challenged to examine our own relationship with Jesus. Do we simply know facts about Him from Sunday school stories and Bible trivia, or have we moved into a living, breathing relationship where we experience His presence daily?
The Greek word ginosko describes this intimate, relational knowledge—the kind where Jesus isn't just a historical figure but your personal Lord who multiplies provision in your life, speaks into your decisions, and transforms your everyday reality. When you know Jesus this way, the resurrection isn't just an Easter story—it becomes the power source for your daily life.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I confess that sometimes my relationship with You feels more like religious routine than living friendship. I don't want to just know facts about You—I want to know You personally and deeply. Open my heart to experience You in fresh ways. Help me move beyond Sunday morning Christianity into a daily, intimate walk with You. Show me areas where I've settled for information instead of transformation. In Your name, Amen.
