Ephesians 1:17-18
"I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened..."
Reflection:
Paul prayed this for mature believers—people who already knew Jesus. Why? Because none of us have arrived. There's always more of Jesus to discover, more of His heart to understand, deeper intimacy to experience. In an age of deception, we desperately need the Spirit of wisdom and revelation to recognize Jesus' voice and discern truth from lies. This isn't about intellectual knowledge; it's about having the eyes of our hearts opened to see Jesus more clearly each day.
Prayer:
Glorious Father, I ask what Paul asked: give me the Spirit of wisdom and revelation so I may know Jesus better. Open the eyes of my heart to see Him more clearly. Help me recognize His movement, His leading, His truth in the midst of all the noise around me. I don't want to stay where I am spiritually—I want to go deeper with You. Show me Jesus in ways I've never seen Him before. Amen.
Action:
Pray Ephesians 1:17-18 over yourself and each member of your family by name today. Write out the prayer, inserting your name and theirs. Make this a daily prayer for the next week.
