The Way, the Truth, and the Life

Scripture:
John 14:6
"Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"

Reflection:

Jesus didn't offer Himself as a way among many—He declared Himself the way. In a culture that says "your truth is your truth," Jesus stands as unchanging, unwavering reality. Truth isn't relative; it's a person. When we know Jesus intimately, we anchor ourselves to something that cannot shift with cultural trends or popular opinion. The question isn't whether we find this exclusive claim comfortable, but whether it's true. And if Jesus is who He says He is, then everything else must align with Him.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, You are the Truth that doesn't change. Forgive me for the times I've tried to blend Your truth with the world's opinions. Help me to know You—not just know about You—but to experience Your presence so deeply that I can discern what is real from what is counterfeit. I surrender my need to make truth more comfortable and ask You to make me more like You. Amen.

Action:

Today, identify one area where you've been blending cultural opinion with biblical truth. Write it down. Then ask Jesus to show you what His unchanging truth says about that issue. Spend 10 minutes in silence, simply inviting Him to speak.
