Identity in Christ

Scripture:
Colossians 3:3-4
"For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory."

Reflection:

Who you are is no longer defined by your past failures, your career, your mistakes, or even your achievements. Your identity is found solely in Christ. You are forgiven, redeemed, chosen, and loved. You are God's masterpiece—a tapestry He is weaving with purpose. When you look at the back of a tapestry, all you see is chaos and tangled threads. But God is working on the front side, creating something beautiful. You don't have to understand all the messy parts; you just need to trust the Master Weaver.

Prayer:

Father, help me to see myself as You see me—forgiven, redeemed, and loved. I confess that I sometimes define myself by my past or my failures. Remind me that I am hidden with Christ in You, and that my identity is secure in Him. Thank You for making me Your masterpiece. Help me trust You even when my life feels chaotic. Amen.

Action:

Write down three truths about your identity in Christ (examples: I am forgiven, I am chosen, I am loved). Put this list somewhere you'll see it daily—on your mirror, in your car, or on your phone—and read it aloud each morning this week.
