Scripture:
Ephesians 2:8-10
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
Reflection:
You are not an accident. Before you were born, God designed you with intention and prepared specific works for you to accomplish. Your salvation wasn't just about escaping hell—it was about being restored to the purpose for which you were created. The good works God prepared aren't just random acts of kindness; they're the specific calling and mission He's placed on your life. Whatever years you may feel you've wasted, God's calling on you is irrevocable. Today is the day to step into that purpose.
Prayer:
Jesus, thank You that I am Your workmanship, created with purpose and intention. Forgive me for the times I've lived as though my life belongs to me alone. Open my eyes to see the calling You've placed on my life. Help me to believe that it's never too late to step into Your purposes. I surrender my plans and ask You to reveal Yours. Amen.
Action:
Set aside 15-30 minutes today to journal and pray about this question: "Why did Jesus create me and save me?" Ask the Holy Spirit to begin revealing your calling and write down anything that comes to mind, even if it seems small or uncertain.
