Your Advocate Is Alive

   Scripture:
"Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them." (Hebrews 7:25 NIV)

  Reflection:

Your Redeemer isn't just a historical figure who did something wonderful 2,000 years ago and then disappeared. He is alive and actively working on your behalf right now. Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Majesty on high, which means He has the power and command of every resource needed to sustain you. He saves you completely—from both the penalty and the power of sin. Because He always lives, His ministry on your behalf never ends. He's not repeatedly asking the Father to forgive you; the work of forgiveness is finished. Instead, He's your permanent advocate, representing you against every accusation. When the enemy whispers that you're too far gone, too broken, too sinful—Jesus stands in your defense. His very presence at the Father's right hand declares: "This one is Mine. I paid for them. They belong to Me."

  Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You that You're not distant or inactive but alive and interceding for me right now. When I feel condemned by my failures or overwhelmed by accusations, remind me that You are my permanent advocate. Help me grasp what it means that You can save me completely—not partially, not temporarily, but completely. I come to God through You alone, trusting in Your finished work, not my own efforts. Give me confidence to approach Your throne knowing You're there with me. Amen.

  Action:

Set aside time today to truly talk with Jesus—not just reciting prayers but having a conversation. Share with Him what's weighing on you, where you're struggling, what accusations you're hearing in your mind. Picture Him seated at the Father's right hand, alive and actively working for you. Ask Him specifically for help in one area where you need His resurrection power operating in your life. Write down what you sense Him speaking to your heart.
