Stop Fighting, Start Trusting

Scripture:
Psalm 46:10
"Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!"

Reflection:

Jesus is moving you on that "spiritual moving sidewalk" toward your destiny. But many of us are walking backwards, fighting, trying to control the journey. Jesus is saying: "Would you just stop? Seek Me first, and all these other things will be added to you."
Abiding in Jesus means staying close, staying on the altar, letting Him do what He wants to do in you and through you. You can't fulfill your calling apart from Him. You can't sustain yourself. But the good news is—you don't have to. He's already doing it.
Today is the day to stop worrying about making it happen and start trusting to see it happen.

Prayer:

Jesus, forgive me for trying to do life in my own strength. I surrender control to You today. Help me abide in Your presence, to stay close to You, and to trust that You are sustaining every area of my life. I choose to rest in You rather than strive. Lead me, and I will follow. Amen.

Action:

Identify one thing you've been trying to force or control. Write it down and physically place it in your Bible as a symbol of surrender. Throughout today, whenever you're tempted to take it back, pause and pray: "Jesus, I trust You to sustain this."
