Scripture:
1 Peter 1:3-4
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you."
Reflection:
No matter what you're facing today, you have hope. Not wishful thinking, but living hope rooted in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Because He rose from the dead, you will too. Because He conquered death, you have eternal life. Your ultimate destination is secure—Jesus is sustaining your journey there.
Like workers on the Golden Gate Bridge who worked with confidence because a safety net was beneath them, you can live with confidence knowing Jesus is sustaining you. You don't have to white-knuckle your way through life. Trust the One who holds you.
Prayer:
Lord, when circumstances feel overwhelming, remind me that my hope is in You alone. You are sustaining me, protecting me, providing for me, and preparing me for eternity with You. Help me stop fighting against Your work in my life and trust that You are moving me toward my appointed destination. I rest in Your promises today. Amen.
Action:
Write down one area where you've lost hope or feel anxious. Surrender it to Jesus in prayer, and choose to trust that He is sustaining you through it. Read 1 Peter 1:3-5 aloud as a declaration over that situation.
