Scripture:
Hebrews 1:3
"He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact representation of his being, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power."
Reflection:
Jesus isn't just holding things together with effort—He's sustaining all of creation, including you, by the power of His word. The same word that spoke galaxies into existence is the word that sustains your life today. When He says "peace, be still" to the storms in your life, they must obey. You're not navigating this journey alone or by your own strength. Every breath you take, every step you make toward God's purpose—Jesus is actively sustaining it all.
Think about this: if Jesus can keep trillions of galaxies in perfect order, He can certainly handle what you're facing today. Stop trying to hold everything together on your own.
Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for sustaining me by the power of Your word. I confess that I often try to control and manage everything myself, forgetting that You are actively at work. Help me trust that the same power that holds the universe together is holding my life together. Give me peace knowing You are in control. Amen.
