Not a Created Being, But the Creator

Scripture:
John 1:1-3 (ESV)
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made."

 Reflection:

Jesus is not a created being who evolved into godhood. He has always been God. Before the mountains were formed, before time began, before anything existed—Jesus was. He didn't start as a man and work His way up to divinity. He is the eternal God who chose to put on flesh to redeem us. This truth matters more than you might think. If Jesus were just a created being, He couldn't save you. Only God Himself has the power to redeem fallen humanity. Only the Creator can restore His creation. The Jesus who saved you is the same Jesus who spoke the universe into existence. He has always had the authority to forgive your sins, heal your brokenness, and give you eternal life.

 Prayer:

Lord Jesus, I worship You as the eternal God, the Creator of all things. Thank You that You are not just a good teacher or a created being, but God Himself who came to rescue me. Forgive me when I've treated You as less than who You are—when I've reduced You to a helpful adviser instead of recognizing You as the Lord of all creation. I bow before You today, acknowledging that You alone are worthy of my complete surrender and worship. Amen.

 Action:

When you face challenges today, remind yourself: "The One who created the universe lives inside me. The Creator Himself is on my side." Let that truth fuel your confidence. Write down one area where you need the Creator's power to work, and boldly ask Him for it.
