Scripture:
Ephesians 2:8-10 (NIV)
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
Reflection:
You are God's masterpiece—His workmanship. Yes, sin damaged the picture, but Jesus' blood has washed away the stain. You are not saved by good works, but you are saved FOR good works. Your life is not defined by what has happened to you—your failures, heartbreaks, or mistakes. Your life is defined by what you allow God to do with it. When you surrender your past, your pain, and your personality to Jesus, He sanctifies it all and uses it for kingdom purposes. You are a masterpiece in the making. Don't give up. Don't quit. Jesus isn't finished with you yet.
Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for saving me by grace, not by my works. Thank You that I don't have to earn Your love—You've already given it freely. But now, Lord, I want my life to count for Your kingdom. I surrender my past failures, my heartaches, my personality—all of it—to You. Sanctify me. Use even the broken parts of my story to touch others. I am Your workmanship. Complete the good work You've started in me. Amen.
Action:
Write a declaration over your life today: "I am God's masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus to do good works that He prepared in advance for me to do." Speak this truth over yourself when doubt, discouragement, or comparison creeps in. Then ask God: "What is one good work You want me to step into this week?"
