Scripture:
John 14:6
"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
Reflection:
In our culture's rush toward tolerance, this statement sounds harsh. But it's actually the greatest news possible. Jesus doesn't say, "I'll show you the way"—He says, "I AM the way." Not a way among many, but THE way. Why? Because He's the only one qualified. He's the only one who is fully God and fully man, the only one who lived a sinless life, the only one who could pay the penalty for our sins, the only one who conquered death and rose again. There is no other path to the Father because there is no other person like Jesus. When someone knocks on your door presenting "another Jesus"—one who was created, who earned his deity, who shares spiritual brotherhood with Satan—they're not offering you an alternative path to the same destination. They're offering a different destination entirely. Stand firm in this truth: the Jesus of the Bible, the eternal God who became flesh, is the ONLY Savior, and He is completely sufficient.
Prayer:
Jesus, You are the way, the truth, and the life. I reject every false teaching that presents another path to God or diminishes who You are. Thank You that I don't have to work my way to heaven, perform rituals to earn salvation, or wonder if I'm good enough. You did it all. Your work on the cross is complete and sufficient. Give me boldness to speak this truth with grace when others present a different gospel. And give me wisdom to recognize deception before it takes root in my heart. You alone are Lord. You alone are Savior. Amen.
Action:
Memorize John 14:6 today. Practice saying it with confidence and conviction, preparing yourself to know the truth when false teaching comes your way.
