Scripture:
Colossians 1:15-17
"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together."
Reflection:
False teaching will tell you Jesus was created, that He's a lesser being, perhaps even a spirit brother to Lucifer. But Scripture demolishes this lie completely. Jesus didn't just exist before creation—He IS the Creator. Everything visible and invisible, every angel and authority, every atom and galaxy was made BY Him, THROUGH Him, and FOR Him. He holds the entire universe together by His power right now. The very angels that some religions elevate—Jesus made them. He is superior to them all. This matters for your daily life because it means Jesus has authority over everything affecting you: your health, your finances, your relationships, your future, the spiritual forces that oppose you. Nothing exists outside His creative power and sustaining authority. If He holds galaxies in place, He can certainly hold your life together.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I worship You as Creator of all things. You spoke, and worlds came into being. You command, and the universe obeys. Forgive me for the times I've treated You as less than You are—as a good teacher, a helpful guide, or just part of my life instead of the center. You are superior to all, before all, and sustaining all things. I declare today that You have authority over every area of my life. I surrender control to You, the One who created me and knows my purpose. Hold my life together as You hold the universe together. Amen.
Action:
Identify one area where you've been trying to "hold it together" yourself. Consciously transfer that burden to Jesus today, acknowledging His authority and power over it.
