Scripture:
John 1:1-3, 14
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. All things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made... And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth."
Reflection:
Jesus is not a created being—He has always existed. Before time began, before the first star ignited, before the earth was formed, Jesus was. He is the eternal Word, the Logos, the complete expression and revelation of God. When we read Genesis 1, "In the beginning, God created," we're reading about Jesus creating all things. He didn't become God; He has always been God. This truth matters deeply for your life today: whatever you're facing, Jesus has already seen it, already knows it, and already has it under control. Nothing surprises Him. The same Jesus who spoke worlds into existence lives in you if you've surrendered to Him. He's not scrambling to figure out your situation—He's already made the way.
Prayer:
Jesus, I worship You as the eternal God who has no beginning and no end. Thank You that You were there before my problems existed, and You already have the solution. Help me rest in Your eternal nature today. When I'm tempted to panic or fear, remind me that nothing catches You off guard. You are the same yesterday, today, and forever. I surrender my worries to You, trusting that the God who created everything is more than capable of handling my life. Amen.
Action:
Write down one situation causing you anxiety. Now write above it: "Jesus was before this, Jesus knows this, Jesus has this." Each time worry surfaces today, speak this truth aloud.
