Trusting God's Truth

 Scripture:
"All people are like grass, and all their beauty is like a flower of the field. The grass dries up and the flower drops off, but the word of the Lord lasts forever." – 1 Peter 1:24-25 (GW)

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path." – Psalm 119:105 (NIV)

 Reflection:

In a world where truth seems constantly shifting—where debates rage and opinions multiply—God's Word stands as our unchanging anchor. The sermon reminds us that without absolute truth, we create chaos in our own lives and communities. Everyone crafting their own version of reality leads only to confusion. But God's truth is eternal, tested across generations, and utterly reliable.
Think about the areas of your life where you're tempted to create your own truth or follow cultural opinions rather than God's Word. His truth isn't meant to restrict you—it's a lamp illuminating the path ahead, keeping you from stumbling in darkness. When life feels uncertain, His Word remains steady.

 Prayer:

Father, thank You that Your truth never changes. In a world of shifting opinions and endless debates, I need the stability of Your eternal Word. Help me to trust Your truth even when it challenges my preferences or cultural norms. Light my path today with Your Scripture, and give me courage to follow where it leads. Amen.

 Action:

Identify one area where you've been relying on your own understanding rather than God's truth. Read a passage of Scripture that speaks to that situation, and write down one specific way you'll align your life with what God says today.
