Scripture:
2 Timothy 3:16-17 NIV
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."
Reflection:
God's Word isn't just for information—it's for transformation. The Bible teaches you what's true, rebukes you when you're wrong, corrects your course when you've wandered, and trains you in right living. This four-fold process equips you for everything God has called you to do. Many Christians read the Bible looking only for comfort or inspiration, but God intends His Word to do deeper work. Like a skilled trainer or loving parent, Scripture shapes your character and prepares you for the life God designed you to live. The enduring relevance of the Bible is seen in its continual transformation of lives—including yours—still today.
Prayer:
Father, I open myself fully to the transforming work of Your Word. Teach me truth I don't yet know. Rebuke me when I'm heading in the wrong direction. Correct my thinking and my ways. Train me in righteousness so I can live the life You've called me to. Make me thoroughly equipped for every good work You have for me. Amen.
Action:
Read through 2 Timothy 3:16-17 again slowly. Ask God: "Which of these four areas (teaching, rebuking, correcting, training) do I need most right now?" Spend focused time in Scripture today specifically asking God to work in that area of your life. Journal what He shows you.
