Soul vs. Spirit Perspective

Scripture:
1 Kings 19:14, 18
"'I have been very zealous for the LORD God Almighty. The Israelites have rejected your covenant, torn down your altars, and put your prophets to death with the sword. I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me too.'... Yet I reserve seven thousand in Israel—all whose knees have not bowed down to Baal."

 Reflection:

Like Elijah, we often operate from our emotions rather than God's truth. Elijah felt alone, overwhelmed, and defeated—but God's reality was completely different. There were 7,000 faithful believers Elijah didn't know about. Your feelings are real, but they don't always reflect reality. The Bible penetrates through what you feel and reveals what God knows. When emotions tell you you're alone, abandoned, or without hope, God's Word divides soul from Spirit and shows you the truth.

 Prayer:

Father, I confess that my emotions often cloud my perspective. Help me distinguish between what I feel and what is actually true. When I'm overwhelmed, fearful, or discouraged, speak Your truth into my soul. Give me the Spirit's perspective on my circumstances. Amen.

 Action:

Identify one area where your emotions are currently overwhelming you. Find a promise from Scripture that speaks God's truth into that situation (like Hebrews 13:5-6 for loneliness or Isaiah 41:10 for fear). Write it down and speak it aloud as truth over your feelings.
