Scripture:
Psalm 119:105; Romans 12:1-2
"Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path... Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."
Reflection:
The sermon challenged us: "When you stand before God, you won't be able to say, 'I didn't know what I was supposed to do.'" God hasn't left us guessing about His expectations. His Word is our job description for life. But here's the beautiful truth - God's will isn't a burden to discover; it's a gift to receive. He wants you to know His will even more than you want to know it. Obedience, we learned, is better than sacrifice. God isn't impressed with our religious activities if our hearts aren't aligned with His desires. The question isn't "Can I find God's will?" but "Will I obey it when I discover it?"
Prayer:
Lord, I confess that sometimes I've treated Your Word like a suggestion rather than instruction. Forgive me for the times I've prioritized my preferences over Your will. Give me a heart that desires obedience more than comfort. As I read Your Word today, show me clearly where I'm out of alignment with Your purposes. I want to walk in Your will, not just know about it. Amen.
Action:
Identify one area where you've been uncertain about God's will. Read three passages that relate to that area (use a concordance or Bible app to search topics). Write down what God's Word clearly teaches, then commit to one specific step of obedience today.
