Scripture:
2 Timothy 3:17
"So that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."
Reflection:
God didn't give you His Word just to make you smarter—He gave it to equip you for the life He's called you to live. Every promise, every command, every story is meant to prepare you for the good works He planned for you before you were born. But here's the sobering question: What if you arrive in heaven and God says, "If you had just opened it, read it, reflected on it, and responded to it, I could have done so much more in you, for you, and through you"?
God preserved His Word through fires, bans, persecution, and centuries of opposition. He made sure it would be available when you needed it. The question is: will you open it?
Your response should match God's effort: read it faithfully, believe it wholeheartedly, and live it courageously. Not out of guilt or obligation, but because this is the voice of the One who loves you most, guiding you into His best for your life.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, forgive me for the times I've neglected Your Word. You went to such lengths to give it to me—help me treasure it. I commit to reading it faithfully, believing it wholeheartedly, and living it courageously. Let Your Word shape my thoughts, guide my decisions, and transform my character. When I stand before You, may I hear "well done" because I built my life on Your truth. Amen.
Action:
Set a specific, realistic Bible reading goal for this week. Whether it's finishing Matthew, reading one chapter daily, or spending 10 minutes each morning in Scripture—write it down, tell someone, and follow through. Let this be the week you recommit to the power of God's Word in your life.
