Scripture:
"For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever." (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)
Reflection:
Jesus is coming again—not as a baby in a manger, but as King of kings with a shout, a trumpet, and the voice of the archangel. Just as prophecy pinpointed His first coming with precision, we can trust He will return exactly as promised. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, those filled with the Spirit of Christ will be caught up to meet Him. The question Jesus asked echoes through time: "When the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?" In the middle of deception, distraction, and cultural chaos, will you be found faithful? Will you be watching, waiting, living ready? Jesus is coming. Live like it.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, You are coming again! In the chaos and deception of this world, keep my faith strong. Help me live with expectation, not fear. When the trumpet sounds, may I be found faithful—filled with Your Spirit, walking in obedience, watching for Your return. Come quickly, Lord Jesus. Even so, come. In Your name, Amen.
Action:
Read the Book of James this week (one chapter per day, then repeat). As you read, ask yourself: "Am I living my faith in a way that's ready for Jesus' return?" Make one adjustment to live more faithfully.
