The Enduring Word

  Scripture:
1 Peter 1:24-25
"All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord endures forever."

  Reflection:

In a world where trending topics change by the hour and "truth" shifts with public opinion, God's Word stands unmoved. Think about it—66 books, written over 1,500 years by 44 different authors on three continents, yet one unified message of redemption from Genesis 3 to Revelation 22. Human wisdom fades like grass in the summer heat, but what God has spoken remains. The very fact that you can hold a Bible today—after centuries of it being banned, burned, and banished—testifies to its divine preservation. This isn't just an ancient book; it's the living, enduring voice of God speaking into your life right now.

  Prayer:

Father, thank You that Your Word stands forever. In a generation drowning in deception and shifting narratives, anchor my heart to the truth that never changes. Help me to build my life not on the grass of human opinion but on the rock of Your eternal Word. Give me a hunger to know what You've said, not just what others say about what You've said. In Jesus' name, amen.

  Action:

Choose one verse from this week's message (like 1 Peter 1:25 or John 17:17) and write it on a note card. Place it where you'll see it multiple times today—your bathroom mirror, car dashboard, or phone lock screen. Each time you see it, pause and thank God that His Word endures.
