Stay Alert and Vigilant

 Scripture:
1 Peter 5:8
"Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour."

 Reflection:

A lion's roar isn't random—it's a declaration of territory. When Satan and his forces "roar" through false teachings, cultural deception, and twisted Scripture, they're claiming territory in people's lives, families, and faith. Staying alert means we don't passively accept every idea that sounds spiritual or loving. We push back. We test it against Scripture. We guard our hearts, our marriages, our children, and our faith communities. Being vigilant isn't about living in fear—it's about living with eyes wide open, aware that the enemy wants to steal, kill, and destroy. But we don't have to let him. We can stand firm in truth.

 Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I don't want to be naive or passive when deception comes my way. Give me a sober mind and a watchful spirit. Help me recognize when the enemy is trying to claim territory in my life or the lives of those I love. Make me bold to push back with Your truth. Amen.

 Action:

Today, have a conversation with someone you love—a family member, friend, or fellow believer. Ask them: "What's one area where you're feeling confused about what's true right now?" Listen well, then point them gently toward Scripture.
