Speaking God's Words

 Scripture:
1 Peter 4:11a
"If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God."

 Reflection:

Not everyone is called to preach from a pulpit, but every believer is called to speak God's truth. Whether you're encouraging a friend, teaching a child, sharing your testimony, or speaking up for justice—your words carry weight when they align with God's Word. This is a sobering responsibility but also an incredible privilege. When you say yes to Jesus' mission, He wants to speak through you. This means your conversations matter. Your social media posts matter. Your words at work, at home, in your small group—they all matter. Ask yourself: Are my words reflecting God's heart? Am I speaking life, truth, and grace?

 Prayer:

Holy Spirit, I want my words to reflect Your heart. Guard my mouth from gossip, negativity, and careless speech. When I speak, let it be with wisdom, grace, and truth. Help me to encourage others, point them to Jesus, and speak life into difficult situations. Give me boldness to share Your Word when opportunities arise and sensitivity to know when to speak and when to listen. May my words bring glory to You and blessing to others. In Jesus' name, amen.

 Action:

This week, intentionally speak one word of encouragement or truth from Scripture to someone who needs it. It could be a text, a conversation, or a handwritten note. Ask God to give you the right words at the right time.
