Strength from God

  Scripture:
1 Peter 4:11
"If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ."

  Reflection:

You're not called to serve in your own strength—you're called to serve with the strength God provides. This is liberating! You don't have to be the most talented, the most experienced, or the most confident. You need to be available. When you say yes to Jesus' mission, He supplies the power. The goal isn't to impress people with your abilities; it's to point them to Jesus through your service. When God gets the glory, you experience the joy of partnership with Him.

  Prayer:

Lord Jesus, I admit that I often try to serve in my own strength, and I burn out quickly. Teach me to depend on Your power, not my own. When I feel inadequate or overwhelmed, remind me that You provide the strength I need. I want my service to bring You glory, not draw attention to myself. Fill me with Your Spirit today so that everything I do points others to You. In Your name, amen.

  Action:

Before you serve in any capacity today—whether at work, home, or church—pause and pray: "Lord, I can't do this in my own strength. I need Yours. Work through me for Your glory."
