Seek First the Kingdom

 Scripture:
Matthew 6:33
"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

Reflection:
This isn't a suggestion—it's the divine order for a worry-free life. To seek first means to actively pursue God before all other goals, means, and things. It means living under God's rule as King of your life, making Him the center around which everything else revolves—your relationships, career, education, hobbies, and ambitions. It's not asking "What do I want?" but "God, where do You want me?" When money and materialism are your first priority, anxiety rules the day. When God is first, peace rules the day. George Mueller proved this principle by caring for over 10,000 orphans through prayer alone, recording over 50,000 answered prayers. He sought God's kingdom first, and God provided everything needed.

 Prayer:
Father, I want to seek Your kingdom first, not just in words but in the actual ordering of my life. Help me pursue You actively—to learn what You want, talk with You daily, and choose Your way over my own. Let my worldview be shaped by Your Word, not by culture or convenience. I surrender my plans, my goals, and my resources to Your lordship. Lead me in the next faithful step, and I will trust You for what comes after. Amen.

 Action:

Practice "kingdom first" in a concrete way this week: Start each day with prayer before checking your phone. Replace one fear thought with Scripture—even if it's simply repeating "I will seek first the kingdom of God." Consider giving 10% of this week's income as an act of trust that God will provide for your needs.
