Treasures That Prosper

       Scripture:
Colossians 3:1-2, 23
"If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth... And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men."

  Reflection:

Heavenly treasure is "the enduring value of a life aligned with God." When we align our lives with God's purposes, we experience the glory of heaven right here, right now—and it lasts forever. The sermon identified several ways we store up heavenly treasure: obedience to God's promptings, showing mercy and generosity, investing in people, supporting Christ's church, and faithful stewardship. These aren't about earning luxury in heaven; they're about living in alignment with eternal values that will never perish, rust, or be stolen.

  Prayer:

Lord, I want to invest in what lasts forever. Help me to see opportunities today to store up heavenly treasure—through obedience, generosity, investing in people, and faithful stewardship. Give me Your perspective on what truly matters. May my life be aligned with Your purposes so that I experience Your glory both now and forever. Amen.

  Action:
Choose one of the five ways to store up heavenly treasure mentioned in the sermon (obedience, mercy/generosity, investing in people, supporting the church, or stewardship) and take one specific action today. This might be obeying a prompting you've been ignoring, showing unexpected generosity, having a meaningful conversation with someone, serving at church, or managing your resources more faithfully.
