Planted on Purpose

    Scripture:
Jeremiah 29:4-5
"Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, to all the exiles whom I have sent into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon: Build houses and live in them, plant gardens and eat their produce."

  Reflection:
God doesn't place us anywhere by accident. Just as He intentionally sent the Israelites to Babylon with a purpose, He has intentionally placed you in your neighborhood, workplace, and community. You are not there simply to exist—you are there to engage. The Israelites didn't want to be in Babylon, yet God had a plan that required their presence. Where has God planted you that you've been resisting? What if your current location isn't a holding pattern but a divine assignment?
Victory Family Church wasn't randomly established in this community 30 years ago. God planted it with purpose—to be salt and light, to influence the spiritual climate. Likewise, you are not randomly attending this church. God has planted you here with intention, not just to receive but to contribute to the legacy being built for future generations.

  Prayer:
Father, open my eyes to see that where I am is not by chance but by Your design. Help me stop waiting for a different season or location to engage Your purposes. Give me the faith to believe that You have planted me exactly where I need to be—in my church, my neighborhood, my workplace—to be salt and light. Show me the purpose for which You've placed me here. In Jesus' name, Amen.

  Action:
Identify one specific place where God has planted you (your neighborhood, workplace, or a regular activity). Write down three ways you could intentionally be "salt and light" in that environment this week. Choose one and act on it today.
