Pause, Don't Park

  Scripture: Philippians 3:13-14
"Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."

 Reflection:
The memorial stones at the Jordan were meant for pausing, not parking. Israel was to stop, remember, give thanks, and worship—but then keep moving into the Promised Land. There's a danger in celebrating past victories so much that we stop pursuing future ones. God's faithfulness in your past should fuel your faith for your future, not become a resting place where you stop growing. Thirty years of Victory Family Church isn't about arriving—it's about launching forward. Your personal spiritual journey is the same. Celebrate what God has done, absolutely. But don't camp there. There are more cities to take, more ground to possess, more souls to reach, more of God's purposes to fulfill. The stones speak of yesterday's faithfulness to give you courage for tomorrow's calling.

 Prayer:
Father, thank You for every victory, every breakthrough, every blessing You've given me. I celebrate Your faithfulness. But Lord, don't let me become complacent. Don't let me park where I should only pause. Stir fresh vision in my heart. Show me what's ahead. Give me holy dissatisfaction with staying where I am when You're calling me forward. I want to press on toward all You have for me. Amen.

 Action:
Spend 15 minutes in prayer asking God: "What's next?" Write down anything He brings to mind—a new area of growth, a ministry opportunity, a relationship to invest in, a habit to develop, or a fear to overcome. Choose one specific step you can take this week to move forward in that direction. Don't just remember where you've been—pursue where God is calling you to go.
