Retelling God's Faithfulness

  Scripture: Joshua 4:6-7
"That this may be a sign among you. When your children ask in time to come, 'What do those stones mean to you?' then you shall tell them that the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord."

 Reflection:
God commanded Israel to build something that would continue to speak long after that generation was gone. Our testimonies aren't just for us—they're for the next generation. When we share stories of God's faithfulness, we're building spiritual legacy. Your children, grandchildren, or those you mentor need to hear how God has worked in your life. They need to know that the God who parted the Jordan River is the same God who answers prayers today, heals today, provides today. Don't let your stories of God's goodness die with you. Pass them on.

 Prayer:
Lord, give me opportunities to share Your faithfulness with the next generation. Help me be intentional about telling my story—not to boast in myself, but to magnify You. Burden my heart for those who need to hear that You are still faithful, still powerful, still present. Make me a living testimony of Your goodness. Amen.

 Action:
Identify one younger person in your life (child, grandchild, student, or mentee). Schedule time this week to share a specific story of how God has been faithful to you. Ask them about their own journey with God.
