Scripture:
Isaiah 9:6 -
"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor..."
Reflection:
Jesus, as our Wonderful Counselor, offers us divine wisdom that surpasses human understanding. His counsel is not just advice to consider but wisdom to follow. Reflect on how often you seek His guidance in your daily decisions. Do you approach Him as a trusted counselor whose wisdom you are eager to follow, or do you treat His guidance as one option among many? Consider the areas in your life where you might be hesitating to follow His direction. Are you waiting for a more suitable answer, or are you ready to trust His perfect wisdom?
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for being my Wonderful Counselor. I confess that I sometimes hesitate to follow Your guidance, seeking my own way instead. Help me to trust Your wisdom and guidance in every decision I face. Teach me to submit to Your will and follow Your direction with faith and obedience. Amen.
Action:
Identify one decision you have been delaying. Spend time in prayer, seeking clarity from God, and commit to taking the first step in obedience today. Write down the decision and the step you will take, and ask a trusted friend or mentor to hold you accountable.
