Scripture:
1 Peter 1:3-4
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade."
Reflection:
Reflect on the parable of the prodigal son (Luke 15:11-32). Despite his waywardness, the son was welcomed back into the family and restored to his inheritance. This story illustrates the depth of God’s mercy and the richness of the inheritance we have in Christ. How does this promise of eternal life and presence with God influence your daily life and priorities? How can you live in a way that reflects the hope of this inheritance?
Prayer:
Thank You, Lord, for the inheritance You have promised me. Help me to live with an eternal perspective, valuing what truly matters in Your kingdom. May my life be a reflection of the hope and joy found in You. Amen.
Action:
Spend time today considering how you can invest in eternal things. Make a plan to prioritize spiritual growth and service in your life, such as joining a Bible study or volunteering in a ministry. Reflect on how your actions today can have an eternal impact.
