Scripture:
Revelation 19:16
"On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords."
Reflection:
The title "King of kings and Lord of lords" signifies Jesus' supreme authority over all creation. His reign is not limited by time or space, and His kingdom is eternal. Reflect on the implications of Jesus' kingship in your life. Consider how His authority challenges the worldly powers and influences that vie for your allegiance. Acknowledge areas where you may struggle to submit to His rule and reflect on the freedom and security that come from living under His sovereign care. Jesus' kingship assures us that no matter the chaos in the world, He is in control and His purposes will prevail.
Prayer:
Sovereign Lord, I bow before You, acknowledging You as the King of kings and Lord of lords. Forgive me for the times I have resisted Your authority or sought to rule my own life. Help me to surrender fully to Your will and to trust in Your perfect plan. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done in my life as it is in heaven. Amen.
Action:
Take time today to reflect on an area of your life where you may be resisting Jesus' authority. Write down practical steps you can take to align this area with His will. Consider seeking accountability from a trusted friend or mentor to support you in this journey of submission.
