Courage in God's Presence

Scripture:
Joshua 5:13-14
"When Joshua was by Jericho, he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, a man was standing before him with his sword drawn in his hand. And Joshua went to him and said, 'Are you for us, or for our adversaries?' And he said, 'No; but I am the commander of the army of the Lord. Now I have come.'"

Reflection:

Joshua's encounter with the commander of the Lord's army reminds us that courage is birthed in the presence of God. When we spend time with Him, we gain a perspective that transcends our natural understanding. Joshua's courage was not in his military might but in the assurance that God was with him.

Prayer:

Lord, help me to seek Your presence daily. Let me find courage in knowing that You are with me, guiding and protecting me. May Your presence be my source of strength and confidence.

Action:

Set aside a specific time today to be alone with God. Quiet your heart and listen for His voice, seeking His presence and assurance in your current challenges.
