Courage in Leadership

Scripture:
Deuteronomy 31:7-8

"Then Moses summoned Joshua and said to him in the presence of all Israel, 'Be strong and courageous, for you must go with this people into the land that the Lord swore to their ancestors to give them, and you must divide it among them as their inheritance. The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.'"

Reflection:

Leadership requires courage, especially when tasked with guiding others through uncharted territories. Joshua was called to lead the Israelites into the Promised Land, a role that demanded strength and faith. Reflect on the areas of your life where you are called to lead—whether in your family, workplace, or community. How can you draw on God's promise to never leave or forsake you as you lead others?

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for the opportunities to lead and influence others. Grant me the courage and wisdom to lead with integrity and faith. Help me to rely on Your presence and guidance as I fulfill the responsibilities You have entrusted to me. Amen.

Action:

Identify a leadership role you hold, whether formal or informal. Consider how you can lead with courage and faith, and take a specific action today to encourage or support those you lead.
