Scripture:
Colossians 3:11
"Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all."
Reflection:
The early church in Antioch demonstrated remarkable unity despite their diverse backgrounds. This unity wasn't based on cultural similarities or personal preferences, but on the indwelling Holy Spirit. Just as they were unified by the Spirit, we too are called to embrace unity in Christ above all earthly distinctions.
Prayer:
Lord, help me see beyond surface-level differences and embrace my brothers and sisters in Christ. Show me where I've allowed prejudices or preferences to hinder unity in the body of Christ.
Action:
Reach out to someone in your church family who comes from a different background than you. Share a meal or coffee together and learn about their faith journey.
