The Power of Anticipation

Scripture: Acts 10:33
"So I sent for you at once, and you have been kind enough to come. Now therefore we are all here in the presence of God to hear all that you have been commanded by the Lord."

Reflection:
Cornelius gathered his family and friends with great anticipation to hear what Peter had to say. Their expectation set the stage for a powerful move of God. When we come before God with anticipation, we open ourselves to His work in our lives. How do you approach your time with God and your participation in church?

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, stir in me a heart of anticipation for what You are doing. Help me to come before You with expectation, ready to receive and act on Your word. May my faith be active and alive. Amen.

Action:
As you prepare for your next church service or personal devotion time, take a moment to pray and ask God to prepare your heart. Expect Him to speak to you and be ready to respond.
