21 Days of Prayer and Fasting Day 4

Day 4: January 13
Read: Romans 8:26-27 “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.”

Reflect: Never lose sight of the fact that you are indwelt by the Holy Spirit- the very Spirit that filled and dwelt in Jesus. By the Spirit’s overflowing presence within you, you have been born again and sealed for Christ when He returns. But He also helps you pray right here and now. He knows the mind of God, the will of God, the unforeseen plans of God. As you seek to become more aware of the presence of the Holy Spirit, you will be able to know how and for what to pray. And when you just can’t discern it, He will communicate it to the Father through you by way of His Spirit language and utterances.

Respond: How have you been able to identify the voice and prompting of the Holy Spirit lately? What will you do to grow forward in submitting to the Holy Spirit’s activity this year?

Request: Lord, I thank you that you have given me your Holy Spirit that I might be born again and have your presence and power at work in me each day. Help me Lord, to allow your Spirit more freedom to speak to me, guide me, and pray through me with His Spirit language this year. And may we all at Victory Family experience a fresh baptism of your Spirit this year.
